March 14
Update from TrustChains in Ukraine
Our teams to date have evacuated over 5,500 civilians.
After three attempts under heavy shelling, Andriy’s team was finally able to evacuate two orphanages (95 children) on March 11th.
More than 6,500 prepared meals delivered to those sheltering-in-place as well as territorial defense teams, children, elderly, and the disabled. Also distributed other food items, hygienic products, baby products, and protective gear such as vests and helmets.
A Kyiv team is operating two requisitioned restaurants to prepare meals; they feed 800 people each day. This team also sources thermal underwear and fleece for the territorial defense teams. Additionally, this team has been taking care of nurses who have been working nonstop since February 24th by bringing them food and clothing. Our hope is to be able to fund a third kitchen which they are desperate for by demand.
Some of our funding was redirected by our Kyiv team to source and purchase equipment for the reestablished Kharkiv Blood Transfusion Center. Now, they must find equipment for the Military Hospital in Kyiv.
U.S TrustChain
Stateside, we have 20 high-powered volunteers dedicating time parallel to full-time careers. Our ranks include tech executives, marketing and sales professionals, teachers, and developers. Every possible skill is harvested to work collaboratively, quickly and – above all else – effectively.
We are working hard and fast late into the night to standardize collection of funds and share this information with our supporters.
We’re currently able to support seven TrustChains consisting of roughly 150 on-the-ground volunteers across four cities in Ukraine.
The cost to evacuate a civilian is as low as $3 per person. A donation of $100 can save 30 lives. $1,000 can save 300. And a large donation enables us to fund an entire team for days.
We have consolidated donation collection to expedite the application of funds until our application for Tax-Exemption status is finalized. In the meantime, we’ve also forged a partnership with an established foundation to wire major donations on our behalf. Please consider putting us in touch with anyone that might have interest in making a sizable contribution.
Pending major unexpected needs, we’re hopeful we can fund our existing teams through the next 5 business days. To help, please consider the following:
